100% custom memorial services that tell your loved one’s life story

Our ceremony writing process is fully tailored per family as with every ceremony we write.

All of our packages include:

1

1-1 Meetings

We will schedule a personal video call with your friends and family to learn more about your loved one. These meetings are approximately two hours long. We require only one meeting to write the service, but we’re more than happy to schedule additional meetings.

2

Service Writing

After our family meeting, we’ll begin writing a 100% custom service for your loved one. This service will detail the stories you’ve share with us and some reflective moments to help you grieve. We’ll also pitch ideas for elements to include in the ceremony and answer any questions you have about the funeral process.

3

Memorial Service

On the day of the service, we’ll arrive at least one hour early to coordinate with the location in which you’ll be having the service. Once we’ve conducted the service, we’ll share the document with you digitally to keep as a memory.

Liz

Founder + Celebrant

(she/her)

Liz founded Liz Rae & Co in 2015 during her best friend Maranda’s engagement. Her friend, Timmie, at the time also struggled with finding an LGBTQ-friendly officiant that custom-wrote ceremonies. With a background in creative writing, she began writing ceremonies 100% custom for all couples.

When her grandmother passed in February of 2022, the service did not reflect her grandmother. Wishing she had a service to share stories of the woman she loved, she decided to begin funeral services with her co-officiant, Mark. Together, they created a program to offer the same, fully custom process with weddings to memorial services.

Liz is trained funeral celebrant through Insight Books.
